cognos sso around bypass

Ther are numerous documentations on the web on How to enable SSO for COGNOS. Once it is done some of us still want to be able to access the login page for test purposes or for a certain kind of users (executive secretary for example who need to log on as ‘my favorite boss’).

There is a great simple and easy way to do this but with one side effect, at least in my configuration, COGNOS 10.2+W2008+IIS7.5+SSO+ActiveDirectory, which was very annoying in my case : The pages takes 10 seconds to display.

The trick is to remove the UserId and Password in the example below.
My thinking is that COGNOS tries to use it and throw ‘authentication failures’ for a while until it finally stops and serves the Login page. When there are no login nor password filled in, the redirect toward the login page is almost immediate.
